I began working with wood in 1993, starting as a labourer in a Yorkshire furniture workshop. Over ten years I developed the skills to become an expert cabinet maker and fitter.
In 2003, my wife and I moved to the Sussex coast, where I set up my own kitchen fitting business.
During the fifteen years we lived there I took on all manner of projects, from the tiniest flats to huge design showcases. My skills have extended beyond my carpentry background to include plastering, tiling, decorating, plumbing, flooring and wallpapering – all to the highest of standards.
In 2018 we moved to Scotland and I started working for Callum Walker Interiors, fitting and making luxury bespoke rooms
Since 2022 I have gone back to being self employed , I still do a lot of fitting and site work but I now share a workshop where I can make furniture to the bespoke specification of my customers
Outside of work I live a hectic and energetic life, always exploring on either my mountain bike or motorbike, racing my mountain bike, hillwalking, walking our dog Charlie, looking after our kitchen garden or tinkering in the shed. On the rare moments I get to stop for a minute I love spending my time cooking and baking and listening to an eclectic mix of music.
